…Riyom, B/Ladi, Mangu LGAs hardest hit.

The Senator Istifanus D. Gyang of the Northern Senatorial District has expressed a deep heart full of grief over the resurgence of attacks by bandits on peace-loving communities and law-abiding citizens of Plateau State.

The attacks occurred on the night of Sunday, 23/4/2023, with particular reference to Wereng, in Riyom Local Government Area; Rawuru and Heipang, in B/Ladi Local Government and Murish, in Mangu LG.

He commiserated with the grieving families and communities over the lives claimed by the brutal killings by bandits.  While appealing to the peace-loving citizens of the State to remain committed to the peace process in the state, Sen Gyang then urged security agencies to do the needful “to stop this renewed wave of terror and ensure that all threats to peace are decisively dealt with.”
