Following the postponement of the Governorship and State Assembly elections slated for Saturday, 11th March, 2023, the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) has given reason for the shifting of the date “to allow more time to get the BVAS reconfigured.”
The said elections are now going to be conducted on Saturday, 18th March, 2023. To this effect, a statement was signed and issued to newsmen in Jos, by the INEC State HOD-VEP for the REC, Dr Oliver Tersoo Agundu.
In this regard, the Plateau State INEC says “All activities pertaining to the exercise are hereby rescheduled, especially the inspection of sensitive materials at the Central Bank of Nigeria in the state on Thursday till further notice. “The INEC Commission regrets the inconveniences caused by the postponement.”
