Voluntary campaign support groups for Labour Party (LP), its presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, and the vice presidential candidate, Dr. Datti-Ahmed, have been formed.
The groups, which include men, women and youths of U/Boro community in Sabon Tasha area of Kaduna State, have also had their executive members inaugurated.
Those inaugurated includes the coordinator, secretary, woman leader, youth leader, deputy coordinator, publicity secretary, public relations officers, welfare officers, among other positions.
The inauguration of exco members was held at El-Hannan Garden Hotel by Chairman of all Support Group, Hon. Chief Morison O. Ikpeamaeze; Kaduna State Coordinator of all Peter Obi Movement Project (POMP), Mr. Anthony Ojede, State media and publicity and others.
Addressing the vulnerary teaming supporters, leaders of the group, Chief Ikpeamaeze, said the essence of forming the volunteer community campaign groups is to ensure that power returned to the people from the hand of those, who turned the country into their personal property, by voting for the LP candidates at both Federal and State levels, come 2023.
According to the voluntary group state leaders, community exco would be linked with the state and national body of the Obi/Datti-Ahmed main campaign organization in Abuja.
The groups are also sponsoring free Saturday barbing at Ungwan Boro at Akanson’s Barbers Centre, at No.1 ECWA Hausa Street Barbing Salon, tiled: ‘Obidient free barbing sponsored by Obi/Datti support group,’ among others.
In a speech, leaders of the newly-inaugurated exco thanked the support group leaders and promised to work very hard to deliver LP and all its candidates in 2023.
