Kaduna KASTLEA Corps Marshal speaks on his sack by El-Rufai

…Sighted campaign period, refusal to be bent.

The Chief Executive Officer and Corps Marshal of Kaduna State Traffic and Environmental Law Enforcement Agency (KASTLEA), Major Garba Yahaya Rimi (Rtd), has reacted to the termination of his appointment by the state governor, Mal. Nasir El-Rufai.

His appointment as CEO and Corps Marshal of KASTLEA was terminated late last week, but the reason for his sack was allegedly not made public by the state.

The termination of appointment, contained in a letter signed by Muhammad Bashir Umar, and made available to newsmen, Governor El-Rufai thanked Rimi for the services rendered to the State Government.

He was, however, instructed to hand over government properties in his possession to the relevant authorities.

But when contacted, the sacked KASTLEA Corps Marshal could not specifically disclose the real reasons for termination of his appointment.

He, however, stated that he refused to be bent, saying, “No much problem; it is campaign year, and when you cannot be bent easily, anything can happen; but I thank God and I wish the next person coming in a successful tenure.”

Earlier, in a chat, our reporter asked for the real issues that led to his being sacked, retorting that, “Because I know you as an honest, straight forward, transparent and disciplined ex-army officer?
