Kaduna APC suspends Chairman Councilors Forum over ‘anti-party’ activities

…Links him to Head Mistress’s death.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) party in Afaka ward of Igabi local government area of Kaduna State has suspended the Councilor representing Afaka ward, Hon. Auwal S. Mohammed, over what it termed as “anti-party activities” and having his name linked to the death of the Head Teacher of Model Primary School, Sabon Afaka.

The suspension was conveyed in a letter sent to the councilor and made available to news men in Kaduna on Sunday, 23 October, 2022, according to the statement signed by the party’s chairman in Afaka ward, Auwal Adamu, and the Secretary, Comr. Ismail Yahaya, respectively.

The letter stated that, “The issue has plunged the APC into public embarrassment, disrepute, hatred and clearly has adverse effects on our party, community and our government.”

It further stated that, “With reference to Article (21) “A” (ii) of the APC constitution 2014, as amended – ‘Anti-Party activities or any conduct, which is likely to embarrass or have adverse effect on the party or bring the party into hatred, contempt, ridicule, or disrepute.’

“That, from today, Sunday, being the 23 of Oct, 2022, the leadership of APC Afaka Ward unanimously resolved to suspend Auwal Sani Mohammed, the Councilor of Afaka Ward, from the party pending the investigation on the matter from the constituted authority.

“With this letter therefore, Auwal S Mohammed is barred from all activities of APC till this suspension is lifted,” it stated.

The suspension letter was jointly signed the Chairman and the Secretary of the party in the ward and copied to the local government and state secretariat of the party; the Speaker of Kaduna State House Assembly was also copied.
