Plateau Govt gives 2 days’ break for voters’ registration exercise

by Christiana Gokyo, Jos

Barely two weeks to the end of voter registration, Plateau State Government has declared Monday, 27th to Tuesday, 28th June, 2022, as public holidays to enable citizens, especially workers, participate in the registration exercise.

A statement to this effect was signed and issued to newsmen in Jos on Wednesday by the Secretary to Government of the State (SSG), Prof. Danladi Abok Atu.

The statement averred that, “This is to enable the citizens of the state to turn out en-masse for the on-going INEC voters’ registration exercise, which will be concluded nationwide on Thursday, 30th of June, 2022.”

It also called on the citizens, especially workers, to take this opportunity to exercise their franchise preparatory to the 2023 general elections.
