The Nasarawa State All Progressives Congress (APC) Woman Leader, Mrs Blessing Julius Ebuga, has vowed to unite women within and outside the party for peaceful political atmosphere in the state.
She disclosed this in an interview with newsmen shortly after their inauguration by Governor Abdullahi Sule at APC secretariat, along Shandam Road, in Lafia.
Mrs Blessing Ebuga, who used the medium to shower encomium on Governor Sule for considering her as Women Leader of the party in the state, despite her youthful age of 39 years, saying, words alone cannot express her gratitude to the Governor, State Chairman (Dr. Mamman) and all APC family for finding her worthy to be elected as the State Women Leader.
In a cheerful tone, Mrs Ebuga stated thus: “Looking at my age, this is a miracle from God as well as a call to serve not only to women but entire APC and the state in general,” and promised to work round-the-clock to unite women, who are members of her party and other women (from opposition parties) to come together and champion awareness campaign on the need for the re-election bid of Governor Sule in 2023.
She said, this could be achieved in collaboration with the State Chairman of APC, Dr. Mamman. “I will discuss my mission with my chairman of going out to sensitize women to vote Governor Sule and all the APC candidates in the next election.
“Though, an election campaign is necessary; if not so, the workable Governor has already campaigned for himself through projects execution that have direct bearing on the lives of commoners,” she noted.
“Yet, as Women Leader of APC, I owe it a duty to go out to re-emphasize how important it is for us, the women, to come out in our numbers to give him second chance to continue with his laudable projects, which he has started.
The APC Women Leader described Governor Sule as a “Messiah sent from God” to salvage the state from industrial and economic backwardness.
Mrs Ebuga mentioned some developmental projects targeted at bettering the lives of citizens of the state to include compilation of all abandoned projects started by previous administrations since the creation of the state in 1996 till 2019.
“These projects are road construction, schools, health sector, compilation of Aliyu Akwe Doma Banquet Hall, Presidential Lodge and frantic commitments towards ensuring completion and commissioning of Akura Power Sub-Station to enhance electricity supply in the state,” she said.
According to her, “Peace is key to meaningful ventures of every given society. Our principal has put all machineries on ground in ensuring peace has come to reality and achievable in the state.”
She appealed to all and sundry to continue to support the APC party and Governor Sule’s Administration in his quest to re-brand the State, economically and socially, for better days ahead.
