Group under the umbrella of ‘Think Nigeria Project’ (TNP), has condemned in strongest terms, the spate of killings in southern part of Kaduna State.
The group expressed sadness over what it described as “ugly situation,” urging Kaduna State Government to rise to its constitutional responsibility of protecting lives and property of the people.
TNP, in a statement titled: ‘What Hope For The Common Man,’ explained that the recent attacks in Kaura local government area of Southern Kaduna, which “claimed 24 lives with several houses burnt,” was shocking.
According to the group, the insecurity situation in Kaduna State is increasing, especially in Kajuru, Birnin Gwari, Zangon Kataf, Chukun, Sanga, Jema’a and Kaura.
The statement, made available on Wednesday, and signed by the group’s National President, Abdulhamid Abdullahi Ikara and the Director Media and Publicity, Cyril Oparacha, called on the youth of Southern Kaduna to stop any form of violence.
“We believe that justice and fairness is the genuine solution to societal conflicts,” the group emphasized, lamenting that due to several attacks in Kaduna State, many victims have been displaced, while some others took refuge in different locations.
“On behalf of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Think Nigeria Project and the entire PDP family in Kaduna State and Nigeria, we wish to sympathize with the victims’ families and the people of Southern Kaduna,” they said.
