PLATEAU APC PRIMARIES: Stakeholder urges members to await final verdict with calm

by Christiana Gokyo, Jos

An APC stakeholder of Jos North local government area of Plateau State, Hon. Mohamed Nazif, has called on supporters of Hon. Usman Yahaya Kwande to be calm, not to take the law into their hands, and await the National Secretariat for further directive.

Hon. Nazif was briefing newsmen on Thursday at the NUJ Press Center, following the announcement of results of the bye-election for the vacant position of a Reps Member for Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency, which ‘nose-dived’ into a 344/344 tie between Joseph Abbey Aku and Usman Yahaya Kwande.

He urged, thus: “We don’t want any delegate or party member to take any action but to wait for the petition written to the National Secretariat after the primaries.” The APC primary election was conducted for two days and was declared inconclusive on Wednesday.
