The opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has won the Chairmanship election for Kajuru Local Government Council Area.

The PDP also won nine Councilorshp positions, while the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Party won only one seat.

However, the result for Chikun local government council area was still being awaited as at the time of filing this report.

The Kaduna State Independent National Electoral Commission (KAD-SIECOM) had initially scheduled the election for September 4, 2021, but was rescheduled for last Saturday, citing security reasons.

Meanwhile, out the four local government council polls rescheduled for last Saturday, elections still could not hold in two councils – also owing to security challenges.
