Suspected bandits kill Nigerian Aviation Officer in Kaduna residence

by Achadu bGabriel, Kaduna

Gunmen suspected to be bandits have reportedly killed one Abdulkarim Ibn Na’Allah, a Nigerian aviator and son of Deputy Senate Majority Leader, Bala Ibn Na’Allah, in Kaduna.

Mr Ibn Na’Allah was killed on Saturday evening and the body abandoned, according to sources familiar with the incident at his Malali residence in Kaduna.

“The bandits entered his home on Saturday evening and killed him,” a source, who claims to have been to the scene, told journalists on Sunday evening. “But it was only today that we learnt about it, and we rushed there,” the source said.

It was not immediately clear whether the bandits disclosed their motive or left clues for any authorities to trace.

A spokesman for the police in Kaduna, Muhammed Jalige, did not immediately return a request for comments when contacted.

The sad incident occurred barely few a days after bandits attacked the Nigerian Defence Academy in Kaduna and killed two officers and abducted one.

Both the military and President Muhammadu Buhari said a manhunt had commenced for the assailants, as Nigeria awaits the outcome soon.
