Nigeria’s security agents Thursday morning arrested Channels TV Sunrise Daily presenters over purported anti-Buhari interviews.
Those arrested include Chamberlain Usoh, Kayode Okikiolu and Ayotunde Balogun, respectively.
Report said the trio were picked up by operatives of the State Security Service (SSS) morning time of Thursday after the television interview.
Their arrest is reportedly connected with interviews granted them by Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State during which Ortom allegedly accused President Muhammadu Buhari of promoting what he termed as a “Fulanisation agenda,” and another guest, Commodore Kunle Olawunmi (rtd), who revealed that people who are high up in the Buhari’s government are sponsors of Boko Haram.
Sunrise Daily’s lead anchor and producer, Chamberlain Usoh, who confirmed the development, said he did not know yet where they were being taken to. Details later.
