JOS – The Plateau State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of a student pastor from King’s School, Gana Ropp, in Barkin Ladi LGA.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ubah Gabriel Ogaba, said, the command received the information this morning and that, Tactical Operatives have been deployed to the area, while concerted efforts are on towards rescuing the victim and arresting the perpetrators.
Meanwhile, our correspondent gathered that, four students of Capro Secondary Mission School, located at Gana Ropp, in Barkin Ladi local government area of Plateau State were abducted in the early hours of Thursday.
However, three of the students escaped, while one is still in captivity. The school is an arm of Calvary Ministries.
The school is a few kilometres away from the Yakubu Gowon Airport and about 60 kilometres from Jos, the state capital, along Bokkos/Barkin Ladi Road.
It was gathered that, the attackers broke the rear fence of the school where a hole was drilled through, to gain access into the school compound, and abducted the students.
Investigation revealed that, if not for the intervention of security agencies, it could have been another mass abduction, as the assailants took to their heels after realising the reinforcement of security in the area.
