Residents of satellite area of Rigasa community, in Igabi local government area of Kaduna State, waked up on a fateful Friday with tragic news of the gruesome murder of a teenage boy by criminals.
The boy, aged between 12 and 15years, is yet to be identified because he was burnt beyond recognition and dumped in an uncompleted building by terrorists, according to eyewitness report by one Isiyaku Salisu.
Residents of the area expressed shock and lamented poor security coverage in the area over the dastard incident, which occurred on Friday, 23rd of March, 2021.
The victim was discovered by some little children, who entered the uncompleted building to play. “They saw the corpse and called the attention of one of their brothers bearing Isiyaku Salisu. After I saw the body, I ordered the children to call Mai Angwa to inform him of the ugly incident,” Isiyaku Salisu stated.
According to the statement, Mai Angwa, Aliyu Baushe, confirmed the incident to journalists and expressed shock and prayed God to expose those behind the criminal act.
“Upon arriving at the scene, I quickly notified the community security and the emirate Council, who directed me to call the police,” Mai Angwa said.
In a related development, two more dead bodies of abducted Greenfield University students, who were killed by armed bandits, have been recovered; security agencies have just confirmed the sad note to Kaduna State Government.
This was contained in statement issued by the state commissioner for internal security and home affairs, Mr Samuel Aruwan, on Monday evening.
The retrieved corpses, according Kaduna State security update Monday, have been evacuated to a mortuary, and the university has been notified of the development.
“The Government of Kaduna State, under the leadership of Malam Nasir El-Rufai, is saddened by this evil perpetrated against innocent students abducted, while pursuing their education for a glorious future.
“The Government sends its deep empathy to their families and the university management, and prays for the repose of their souls. The Government will update the citizenry on further developments,” it stated.
