…Says, “He lived unblemished life.”

by Achadu Gabriel, Kaduna

The Yoruba community in Northern states, led by Dr. Jimpat Aiyelangbe, as President-General, has mourned the late Emir of Zazzau, HRH (Dr) Shehu Idris, saying he lived an unblemished life on earth.

The community made the revelation in a condolence statement issued in Kaduna to officially announce the passing away of the late Emir, who was their patron.

A statement signed by Dr. Jimpat Aiyelangbe, president-general, Yoruba Community, Northern states, and publicity secretary, Alh Durowade Liade, also expressed satisfaction over the stabilizing role played by the late Emir.

“With deep sense of loss and gratitude to the Almighty Allah for a life well spent in unblemished service to Allah and mankind, we announce the passing away of our dear patron and father, Alhaji (Dr) Shehu Idris, the Emir of Zazzau.

“We, the Yoruba people residing in the Northern states of Nigeria, bear testimony to the stabilizing role, which the late Emir played in the community and in our national life.

“There is no doubt that his demise has created a vacuum too big to fill and for which he will long be remembered.

“We are, however, consoled by the good legacies he left behind. We prayed Almighty Allah to grant him Aljanna Firdaus, comfort the family and continue to bless the people of Zazzau and Nigerians in general,” it stated.
