Abductors of four Kaduna seminarians arrested by police

The abductors of the four seminarians from hostel in Catholic seminary school in Kaduna have been arrested by the police.

One of the four abducted seminarians, Nnadi Michael, was later killed in the bush, while three were freed, in the incident which occurred in January 9th, 2020, at the school hostel located at Kaduna-Abuja highway.

In a statement, Director of Social Communications, Rev. Fr Chris Omotosho, who confirmed the arrest, stated that the police came to the seminary with one of the suspects, who participated in the operation, for identification of their entry and exit routes into the seminary. 

“Kidnappers of our seminarians and killers of Michael Nnandi have been apprehended by the Nigeria Police Force.

“The seminary authority confirmed that the police came in with one of the criminals today, for identification of their entry and exit route to-and-from the seminary,” Rev Fr Omotosho stated. 

Contacted, the police spokesman of Kaduna Police Command, Muhammad Jailge, said he was yet to be informed of the arrest but promised to find out and get back journalists.

He said, “Even though, I resumed office in Kaduna in February, a month after the incident, I’ll inquire and get back soon.”
