The Plateau State Police Commissioner, Austin Agbonlahor, has charged journalists in the state to not only be fair but publish rightly, and to always confirm any story they are not sure of.
The PC appreciated journalists in the state for their role in reporting the command, especially during the Christmas season, assuring that their doors and phone numbers are open for any confirmation of such stories.
Agbonlahor was speaking at the end of the year’s Get-together Party organised for journalists in the state by the Command at the Police Officers Mess in Jos on Sunday.
In his response, the NUJ chairman, Paul Jatau, appreciate the Commissioner for hosting journalists on the Plateau and prayed that, this synergy would continue between the journalists and the Police.
He assured that his members would continue to cooperate with the Command in times of getting any information or facts on any story or incident they need to balance their stories.
