Presidential Polls: Labour Party clears 11 LGAs in Plateau State

The Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, has won the Presidential polls in Plateau State with a total scored highest number of votes cast.

The candidate scored a total of 466,272 to win the polls, with the APC second with the votes cast of 307,195 votes, while the People’s Democratic Party got 243,808 votes cast.

At the announcement of the results, by Independent National Electoral Commission Collation Centre in Jos, the Labour Party candidate won 11 out of the 17 local government areas of the state.

Our correspondent reports that, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, won in two LGAs, and the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, won in four LGAs.

Peter Obi got Jos South, Bassa, Shendam, Pankshin, Bokkos, Mangu, Langtang North, Riyom, Jos East, Barkin Ladi, and Jos North LGAs.

APC won in Kanke, Kanam and Wase LGAs, and the PDP won in Langtang South, Mikang and Qua’anpan LGAs.

While the total number stood at 2,755,017, Accredited Voters was 1,139,393. Detailed results are as follows:

APC – 307,195

LP – 466,272

NNPP – 8869

PDP – 243,808

PRP – 49201

VALID VOTES – 1,088,170

REJECTED VOTES – 22,994 TOTAL VOTES CAST – 1,111,164
