Peter Obi, LP Presidential Candidate

Supporters of the Labour Party (LP) have been enjoined to collect money from both the ruling and main opposition political parties and any other political party candidates, if such monies are given to them.

The party made the declaration, while addressing a mammoth crowd of supporters in a rally held in Benin City, Edo State capital, on Friday, and monitored in Kaduna State.

Leadership of the party, led by its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, told supporters to collect money from any political party candidate, if offered them, but votes the right presidential candidate of their choice that would deliver the country from the current woos and challenges facing it.

According to him, the party supporters should have no reason to reject money given to them by political parties, adding that such money is part of the common wealth looted by the past leaders in the country.

The party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, promised to “turn around the misfortune of Nigeria and Nigerians,” if elected in 2023, and urged supporters to hold accountable to his promises, if he failed to deliver on them.

Recalled that, Edo State Government denied LP the stadium to host the rally on grounds that the application to use the place came to his knowledge 24 hours to the rally time.

Most people interviewed described the turnout of supporters of Obi-Datti as “unimaginable, mammoth and highest in recent time.”
