There had been seeming tensions on Thursday in Kaduna, following the sudden postponement of the court judgment of the Kaduna APC governorship primary election for the second time.
Federal High Court sitting in Kaduna on Thursday shifted the judgment to Friday, alleged ‘irregularities’ in the party’s governorship primary election brought before the court.
The Federal High Court, Kawo Kaduna, on Monday adjourned judgment to Thursday, on the case of irregularities filed before it by a Kaduna governorship aspirant of APC, Hon. Sani Shaaban.
At the resumed sitting on Thursday, the court again couldn’t deliver the judgment.
Speaking, the counsel to the plaintiff, Barrister John Mshellia, said the judgment has been shifted to Friday and would, hopefully, be delivered.
“The judgment was postponed for today but, unfortunately – or, let’s say fortunately, God knows best, it was not ready again today. We are in a political scene. There are lots of political cases going on.
“You can imagine, in this court alone there are about 10 political cases going on. The pressure is too much on the judges. We are sure that, hopefully, judgment will be ready tomorrow. That’s what I can say a bit about what happens today,” he said.
Opponent lawyers, whose names could not be mentioned, in interview said they were just informed by Registrar that judgment would not hold on the day till the next day.
