… Professor Sebastian Maimako to chair the Campaign Council.

The Gubernatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) party for the forthcoming 2023 generation elections in Plateau, Nentawe Yilwatda, has unveiled his campaigns team.
Nentawe Yilwatda says more focus will be geared towards the youth folks, stressing that, 10% of the IGR in his government will be channeled to the vulnerable group, which are the youths.
He made this known during the officially unveiling of Members of the Campaign Council held at the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos on Wednesday.
Also speaking shortly to the press release, Chairman Jos South Local Government Area of the state, Hon Gideon Dandereng, noted that, the Director-General of the “Generation Next” Campaign Council and other officials expressed optimism that the APC will clinch all the positions in the fast-approaching general elections of the 2023 in the State.
He advised the party faithful to avoid any act that is capable of portraying the party in negative light, and commended the foresight of Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda in choosing “men of timber and caliber,” who have performed outstandingly well in the nation’s upbringing as exemplified in their various fields of endeavors, describing it as a victory for the APC.
According to the APC Flagg-bearer for Jos South/Jos East Federal House of Representatives, Hon Dandereng said, he is resolute of a peaceful and issue-based campaign when the ban would be lifted on the twenty-eight of this month, adding that, a credible and fair election is what the APC is aspiring for, for next year.
It would be recalled that, the APC and the “Generation Next” Captain, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, had appointed Professor Sebastian Maimako, an academician, as its Campaign Director-General.
Some of the Members of the Campaign Committee are; Shehu Yitmong – as Deputy DG (Operations); Jibrin Bancir – Deputy DG (Administration); Ernest Da’a – as Deputy DG (Election Management).
Others include; Professor Shem Bindas (Campaign Council Secretary) and State APC Chairman; and Rufus Bature, to serve as the Deputy Chairman of the Campaign Team, with the sole candidate, Nentawe, Chairing the entire Council.
Responding on behalf of the entire Campaign Council, the D-G, Professor Sebastian Maimako, promised to “penetrate all parts of the state to canvass for votes and support,” while explaining that, “Dr. Nentawe is a good and credible candidate that will bring succor to the people, if given that mandate.”
Also among other dignitaries present at the event were, the State APC Chairman, Rufus Bature, and the Director-General of ITF, Sir Joseph Ari.
The Director-General Campaign Council, Prof Sebastian Maimako, is also a known Professor of Accounting and Finance, who is from Southern Zone of the State, and was the 9th substantive Vice-Chancellor of the University of Jos.
