A philanthropist-cum member of Women for Peace in Nigeria (WOPIN), Chief Dr. Mrs Augusta Ngozi Agbaslonwe, has graciously distributed cloths and food items to less-privileged women in Kaduna and Benue States.
The items distributed to the under-privileged women during Sallah in Benue and Kaduna States include rams, wrappers, rice and grains.
Speaking to journalists, while distributing the items in Kaduna Monday, the National President of WOPIN, Dr. Maryam Abdullahi, said the beneficiaries were drawn from the North and South of Kaduna State.
She explained that the gesture was aimed at assisting the needy, especially widows and their children, to enable them celebrate with happiness and joy during the festivity.
Dr. Agbaslonwe, while appealing for support towards less-privileged people in the society, called on individuals and corporate organizations to join her in giving to the poorest of the poor for the sake of God Almighty.
In an interview, the beneficiaries overwhelmingly expressed delight, joy and appreciation for the gesture and prayed God to continue to provide for Dr. Augusta and WOPIN for supporting the less-privileged ones.
