The primary election was said to nominate a candidate of the party in the 2023 general elections for the Obudu/Obanliku/Bekwara federal constituency.

Our correspondent gathered that, the Police Officer and his colleague were shot at the Handmaid’s International Nursery and Primary School along Hospital Road where the primaries were to hold.

Several shots were fired for about six minutes, which was said to be intense. The shooters were eventually chased away, while the PDP members strategized on what to do next.
