The victims, who are residents in Kaduna State, established their yams sale spots around Ungwam Boro area of Sabon Tasha and environments in Kaduna State.

Our correspondent, who visited one of the victim’s sale stand Tuesday at Ungwan Boro, gathered that the family have already been contacted by the terrorists of being in custody of their mother, and demanded for N1.5 million as ransom even after heavy plea bargaining.

According to the sources, the women traveled for their usual yam market to Niger State to purchase yams for sale during weekend when the sad incident occupied.

Witnesses, including their driver also explained that the kidnapped victims had already purchased their goods, paid and were loading them into a Pickup van when the terrorists emerged from nowhere.

It was further learnt that many people, including the driver of the van scampered and ran away successively during the terror attack, while many others – mostly women, who could not run fast – were abducted from the scene.
