…31 captives still in bandits’ hands.

At least 32 more of the kidnapped students of Bethel Baptist High School, Kaduna, have been freed by their abductors, leaving 31 still in captivity.
The released students were said to have gotten their freedom Friday evening and were received at the school premises and reunited with their parents.
Confirming the development to journalists, Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kaduna State chapter, Reverend John Joseph Hayab, said the 32 students have been received by them.
Hayab also thanked Nigerians for their support – physical, moral and in prayers – for the safety of the students and strength for their families to trudge on in the face of the traumatic situation they face.
It is recalled that over a 100 hundred of the students were kidnapped from their school in Kaduna, alongside Niger and Zamfara States’ victims by the bandits.
In another twist of development, bandits have reportedly abducted seven persons in Zango area of Samuru, in Sabon Gari local government area of Kaduna State.
Residents confirmed that the bandits arrived the area around 12:am and went house-to-house picking their victims.
Kaduna State Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Jalige Mohammed, confirmed the incident but said they were working to ascertain the actual number abducted.
