…As Registrar begs bandits to spare lives of 17 students, 3 staffs.

The registrar of the Greenfield University Kaduna, Mr Bashir Muhammad, has passionately appealed to the bandits to spare the lives of the three staffs and the remaining 17 students in their custody.
The registrar, who made the soba appeal in a statement in Kaduna, lamented, while the institution was making efforts to secure the release of the three staffs and 20 students, information filtered that three of the students have already been killed.
In a statement he personally signed, the registrar also disclosed that a ransom of N800 million has been demanded for the abducted staffs and students.
He said efforts made to secure the release of the staffs and students have, however, not yielded the desired results, stating that, “Further, a ransom of 800 million naira has been demanded for our abducted staffs and students.”
He also stated that, while the management of the university appreciated the concerns of the Government of Kaduna State, led by Malam Nasir el-Rufai and commended steps taken so far in ensuring the safe return of those abducted, it called on the government and people of goodwill, “who can be of assistance, to come to our aid, as the situation is becoming overwhelming.”
Recalled that the abduction of the staffs and students occurred at Greenfield University on Tuesday, 20th April, 2021, by 8:15pm in Kaduna State.
