Heavily-armed bandits have again launched another daring attack on Greenfield University in Kaduna, and many students reportedly abducted.
The private university is an elite-based institution, which commenced operations about 3 years ago, along the notorious Kaduna-Abuja express way in Kaduna State.
Our correspondent gathered from the institution that, there was indeed an attack and that many students were abducted by the armed bandits.
Although, no official statement issued about the number of students kidnapped, it was, however, confirmed that a staff of the university’s local security outfit was shot dead by the rampaging armed bandits.
The unfortunate attack came barely one week after Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai, in his usual uncomplimentary public remarks on the bandits, adding that they deserved not to live.
Some of the public utterances of the governor regarding banditry, according to some critics, were unnecessary and believed is unnecessarily instigating the illiterate bandits and creating unnecessary tension. Details later.
