The Provost of Muslim Community College of Health Science and Technology, Funtua, Alhaji Umar Aminu, has urged the students to demonstrate commitment to their studies and be orderly in conducting their activities within and outside the college.
In a statement issued in Kaduna and signed by the institution’s public relations officer PRO), Abdullahi Lawal Maiyasin, Provost of the college said high level of decorum is expected from students of the great institution and urged them to be Good Ambassadors now and forever in life.
“I share with your parents, guardians and well-wishers in your joy of being among the few successful applicants that secured admission in this great institution. With this, a high level of decorum is expected from you so as to be Good Ambassadors now and forever in life,” he said.
Lamenting the history of the college, he said the Muslim College of Health Science and Technology, Funtua, was founded in the year 1999 by the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Funtua Area Council, and has presently graduated over 4,000 students.
In his speech, chairman of the occasion, who doubled as the Chairman Board of Trustees of the college, the Sarkin Maskan Katsina, District Head of Funtua, Alhaji Sambo Idris Sambo, assured newly admitted students of the college “a fruitful stay in Funtua.”
He encouraged the students to be law-abiding and stick to their studies for the benefit of the entire society and the country at large.
“This year’s matriculation ceremony took place at the school premises to welcome the newly admitted students into the college; and the ceremony attracted people from inside and outside Katsina state with a colourful outlook,” he said.
Among major highlights of the event was a presentation of National Leadership and Productivity Award to the Chairman Board of Trustees of the college, as received from the Productivity Centre, Federal Ministry Of Labour Abuja.
