Kaduna: Troops arrest two suspected bandits in Zangon-Kataf LGA

Troops, under the auspices of “Operation Safe Haven,” in conjunction with troops of the Defence Headquarters Special Forces have arrested two suspected bandits between Ungwan Wakili and Zango Urban in Zangon-Kataf local government area of Southern Kaduna in Kaduna State. 

The two suspects, namely Abdulhameed Abubakar Bala and Abubakar Abdulhameed Garba, were arrested, following a tip-off, according to KDSG security update issued on Friday, 22nd Jan, 2021, by commissioner of internal security and home affairs, Mr Samuel Aruwan.

The statement averred that the duo was arrested in connection with their alleged involvement in a series of attacks on Gora Gan, Damakasuwa, Zonzon and Kwaku in December, 2020. 

The suspects are in the troops’ custody undergoing preliminary investigation, the release stated.. 

The release also stated that Governor Nasir El-Rufai received the report with gratitude, and commended the troops for their relentless work in apprehending the suspects, while urging them to ensure a comprehensive investigation.
