As politicians strategize and commence early preparations towards 2023 democratic dispensation, a group known as ‘APC Youth Wing,’ has thrown its weight behind former interim chairman of Kaduna North Local Government Area, Hon. Usman Ibrahim, widely known as “Sardaunan Badarawa.”
The APC group is already calling on him to aspire for position of Senator of Kaduna Central Zone, saying he would deliver, build and consolidate on giant strides and achievements recorded so far by the incumbent Senator Uba Sani, who is eying the Number Six in next governorship race in the state.
Addressing journalists during the week, leader of the group, Comrade Danlami Musa, said the former interim Boss of Kaduna North had proven himself worthy of an elected position in his previous engagements in private and public sector services.
In particularly, Comrade Musa and Hon Ibrahim jointly commended the Sardaunan Badarawa as former Kaduna North local government chairman where he performed exceptionally to the satisfaction of his subjects.
The group listed youth and women empowerments, infrastructure development, staff welfare, investments on health and education, among others, as indelible achievements of the Sardaunan Badarawa, while he held sway as the LG Kaduna North Boss.
“We, as stakeholders of our progressive party, the APC, strongly believe – and have faith in the ability of Usman Ibrahim – to provide exemplary leadership to us as our Senator of Kaduna Central Zone.
“He is a man with the interest of his people at heart, who puts their interests, welfare, concerns and affairs above himself. He’s a philanthropist of the highest order, who doesn’t believe in making public what he did for people.
“Despite being out of political appointments, he has not relented in rendering service to his people, many of whom have been empowered and are doing well in different vocations, such as farming, tailoring, carpentry, fishery, electrical and mechanical engineering, among others.
“He’s a prudent and honest man, who is articulate and careful on how resources should be distributed equitably amongst the masses for the benefit of all,” Musa said.
They recalled that, Hon Ibrahim came second during the last APC Kaduna Central Senatorial primary election that had him, Uba Sani, Shehu Sani, Gen. Sani Saleh, among other aspirants that ushered them into the contest.
After losing the primary election, he ‘collapsed’ his structures into that of Uba Sani and Governor El-Rufai’s “in the spirit of comradeship, unity of the party” and, above all, to ensure they emerged victorious at the polls in 2019,” he recounted.
He said, “Having a loyal member like Hon Ibrahim in our party is a big plus and added advantage in our march towards 2023. It’s, therefore, imperative to allow him fly our Senatorial flag for Kaduna Central Zone for our collective good, progress, and to be able to retain such an important seat in our party.”
He urged people and stakeholders in Kaduna Central Zone to support Usman Ibrahim to become their next senator in 2023, saying, they won’t regret having him as their representative at the Senate.
