The Member Representing Barkin Ladi Federal Constituency, Hon. Simon Mwadkwon, has reiterated his commitment to human capital development through strategic capacity building as well as influencing opportunities to his constituents where necessary.
He described youths as the “backbone and pillars of the society” and urged them to remain optimistic in life, adding that he has prioritized human capital development and will do his best to sustain same.
The Federal Lawmaker was represented by His Director of Media & Publicity, Friday Bali, at TN Resort Riyom LGA, while addressing applicants of the Nigerian Police Force Recruitment from the Federal Constituency.
He urged the applicants to make hard work, honesty, truth, integrity and fear of God their watch-words, “because youths are unique persons with multidimensional talents, gifts, abilities, capabilities and competencies, which, if properly harnessed in a fit environment can translate to socioeconomic wellbeing of the nation.”
Hon. Mwadkwon stressed that, the immense contributions of the youths to national unity, prosperity, growth and development cannot be overstressed, saying, “There is the need for urgent attention, and concentration should be given to youth development so that they can achieve their full potentials at appreciable levels, which in turn will translate to a safer, secured and prosperous nation.
“We will continue to provide the legislation that will favor the youths, humanity and the society at large,” he said.
He assured the applicants of his readiness to do what is necessary to ensure they emerge successful, and wished them the best in all stages of the recruitment exercise.
Hon. Mwadkwon admonished them to discard tendencies that will not make them succeed; be godly and not allow themselves to be used by greedy individuals for their parochial interests.
In their response, the applicants appreciated the lawmaker for his efforts aimed at providing credible and purposeful representation, and they promised to always be good ambassadors and work to ensure unity, peace and order is restored in Nigeria.
