The newly-elected EXCO of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has been charged to work towards resolving all pending issues in the chapter and bring back the renowned PDP family before the end of 2022.
The Caretaker Committee Chairman of the party, led by Sen. Suleiman Adokwe, said, “We expect that, from now to 2022, you would have brought many back on board and not to produce another monster in the chapter.”
In a broad expectation from the new exco, Sen. Adokwe urged that, “They must work together to succeed as a team, and there must be loyalty among them all, for it is sad to know that a Working Committee is sharply divided.”
He also advised that, “If anyone is not comfortable, he should humbly resign, because we were given 30 days to complete this assignment, but we have completed it in 6 days; we are within our brief! This is because of the smooth transitional environment that we found. Hence, we decided to conduct the State Congress.”
The party’s caretaker committee has formerly handed over the affairs of the chapter to the newly-elected chairman of the chapter, Hon. Chris Hassan. This was done in a brief ceremony, which took place at the State PDP Secretariat in Jos.
Sen. Adokwe, apart from handing over management of the affairs of the chapter to the leadership of the new EXCO, also handed over the report of the Caretaker Committee within the past six (6) days, the report of the Congress and other reports of Assets and Liabilities of the chapter.
In his response, the new chairman, Chris Hassan, promised to put in more efforts to bring everyone on board and resolve all pending issues in the chapter, adding, “This will never happen again on the Plateau!”
