Hearing in a suit filed by People’s Redemption Party, PRP, at the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja against the Federal Government and others has been fixed for 14th of October, 2020.

The PRP, the National Chairman, Alhaji Falalu Bello and the National Secretary of the party, Dr Babatunde Alli, in a suit No. FHC/ABJ/ CS/ 648/2020 are suing Federal and the Kaduna State Governments over failure to provide sustenance to people locked down during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

In an originating summons filed by Barrister Saleh Jibril, on behalf of the Plaintiffs, the clients are praying for court’s declaration that persons locked down under the pandemic are entitled to provision of sustenance by the government.

The Plaintiffs are also praying the court for an order to compel the Defendants to provide the necessary sustenance to persons locked down.
