Kaduna COVID-19 cure claimant presents drug samples to NAFDAC

A microbiologist, Professor Ayodele I. Adeleye, who claims to have discovered three days’ cure for COVID-19 pandemic, on Monday paid a visit to National Agency for Food, Drugs Administration and Control, NAFDAC, Kaduna office.

During the visit, Prof. Adeleye presented a sample of his drugs before the agency’s zonal coordinator, who received him and advised that the drugs be repackage and presented formally during Kaduna working day for proper investigation and verification in the laboratory.

Earlier, the cure claimant told the zonal head and the state coordinator, who came much later, that he was directed to quickly submit sample of his drugs to NAFDAC office, since on Friday, for onward delivery to the appropriate authorities for investigation.

After exhaustive discussions, Prof Adeleye conceded to the advice to go back and repackage the drug, level and submit it on Wednesday.

He was also given an e-mail address and guidelines by the state coordinator for registration and payment of a fee before presentation, and promised to comply with the procedure.

It is recalled that the cure claimant promised free treatment of five patients during a press conference held in Kaduna office last month.
