Plateau APC resumes door-to-door campaign tour ahead of March 9

In its continuation of door- to-door campaign tour ahead of Saturday’s 9th March, 2019 governorship and state Assembly elections, the ruling party – All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwarts in Jos North local government area vowed to deliver about 350,000 votes for Governor Lalong.

Speaking in Jos North local government secretariat, commissioner for transport in Plateau state, Mallam Nazifi Muhammed, disclosed that Jos North has over four hundred thousand (400,000) registered voters.

“As a local government with the highest number of over 400,000 registered voters, our expectation is to deliver 350,000 votes for Governor Lalong,” Nazifi Muhammed mentioned.

He admonished the youths to be of good conduct and law abiding as they come out en-masse to ensure APC emerge victorious in all positions. The transport commissioner said opposition parties have nothing to offer than mischief and blackmail.

Earlier, Chairman Jos North door-to-door campaign for Lalong/Tyoden, Alh Hassan Isah Mai Madara, assured determination of delivering Lalong mandate for continuity.

In another development, candidate of House of Representatives for Jos North/Bassa constituency contesting under the platform of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Vitalis Lanshima, and Plateau North senatorial candidate of KOWA Party, Sale Mohammed, decamped to APC.

Also amongst the decampees is Bello Mohammed Abdala, a former national advisory council member of Atikulated campaign.

The duo said their defecting to the ruling party is not because of anything but “a template for development that has been set on ground.”

They pledged their loyalty to the party and to work assiduously to ensure Plateau attain greatness.

You would recall the House of Representatives rerun election for Jos North/Bassa constituency of Tudun Wada and Kabong wards in Jos North local government area are also fixed for the 9th February, 2019.
