PLATEAU STATE – The Gamai Unity and Development Organization (GUDO) has passed a vote-of-confidence on Governor Simon Lalong and President Muhammadu Buhari and has endorsed them for reelection for a second term in office under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) party.
The spokesman of the GUDO, Barrister Theodor Bala Maiyak, while disclosing this on Monday at the NUJ Press Center during a Press Conference in Jos by the Association of GUDO, assured of their strong support for Lalong/Tyoden team in their re-election bid.
He called out loudly on all plateau people to come out en-masse to support and re-elect Governor Simon Lalong for a second four-year tenure.
The spokesman implored the people to be law abiding during the forthcoming elections and urged INEC to ensure the “unimpeded conduct” of free and fair elections where every vote counts.
They also called on socio-cultural organizations, friends of Gamai, ethno-religious groups, the organized private sector of various interest groups, Labour Union, students’ organizations and groups, pressure groups, women and youth organizations to come out en-masse to equally support and endorse the governor for his reelection bid and to engender peaceful coexistence, cooperation and development of the state.
