Flag-off campaign: Kaduna stands still for PDP

Achadu Gabriel, Kaduna

Every nooks and cranes were seen busy putting one or two things together in anticipation of the all-inclusive flag-off campaign rally of the ruling opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP, and its presidential hopeful, Alh Atiku Abubakar.

This is sequel to the information making rounds that all that matters in Nigerian politics will be in attendance in the “almighty” flag-off. Ranging from former president to ministers, governors and senators and reps are said to have indicated interest to be part of the Kaduna campaign rally slated for Kaduna International Trade Fair, at kilometer 17 Rigachukum, today, Tuesday.

Indeed, former President Obasanjo, Jonathan, as well as former president of the senate, Chief David Mark, among other heavy weight politicians that matters, are reportedly billed to be in Kaduna, the defunct capital of old northern region.

It was gathered that, if it were possible, former military junta, Ibrahim Babangida, would have (equally) loved to be in attendance (if not for his health), as well as Abdulsalami Abubakar, among others. Details of the ground campaign will be made available today, as the tide moves.
