Nasarawa State Speaker of the House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe-Abdullahi, has urged politicians to play by the rules to ensure rancour-free elections in 2019.
This was his New Year Message to the people of the state in a statement, signed and issued by his Press Secretary, Jibrin Gwamna, in Keffi, in which he called on Nigerians to support and pray for leaders at all levels to enable them succeed.
While felicitating with Nigerians on the New Year celebration, the Speaker also urged them to pray fervently for the success of the 2019 general elections.
Hon. Balarabe-Abdullahi expressed optimism that the forthcoming general elections would be peaceful, if politicians played by the rules of the game.
The Speaker, who doubles as National Vice Chairman, North Central of Nigeria Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures, also enjoined Nigerians to actively participate in the elections.
He urged the people of the state and Nigerians to be law abiding, respect constituted authorities and live peaceful with one another, because it is a very significant year for all Nigerians as the people will be going to the polls to elect leaders at all levels.
